Dr. Evan J. Samett, MD

Dr. Samett is a Vascular and Interventional Radiologist who has been a member of the MIMIT family since 2007 after leaving another busy community-based practice. Prior to that he ran an academic program for the University of Illinois/Chicago at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center.

While Dr. Samett has published several articles, his professional passion is for patient care, clinical innovation and teaching. His clinical focus is vascular and non-vascular Interventional Radiology, including: peripheral and visceral vascular disease, dialysis and venous access maintenance and salvage, uterine fibroid embolization, and supportive oncology care. Dr. Samett’s practice style is warm, caring and personal — designed to treat the patient and family as a whole.

On a personal note, Dr. Samett moved to Chicago from New York over 20 years ago for his Radiology Residency. While there he met his future Wife, Gail, who was an Internal Medicine Resident. Gail and Evan have a busy home life raising their two children. For hobbies, Dr. Samett enjoys fixing computers, reading, gardening, and working on his cars.
